Rise of the Tomb Raider - Prophet's Tomb - Gamescom 2015 Demo

This gameplay demo, featuring Lara's discovery of the Prophet's Tomb, was originally seen at Microsoft's Gamescom briefing last week.

Rise of the Tomb Raider launches on November 10 for Xbox One and Xbox 360. The Windows 10 PC version is scheduled for early 2016, and the PS4 game will be out in late 2016.

I just finished watching the video. I really enjoyed it: its as some 'classic' obstacle/traps... and the way this young Lara does her stunts, made me think of older Lara... :-3

I like how she moves, very realistically. Also I'm a little more used to her face now lol. I do hope there's some exploration without the usual QTEs and running away from stuff.

They give you XP just for walking. That is really unnecesary, but, gotta stick that "progression" system somewhere, right? I mean, it's not like you're making progress by, you know, EXPLORING? And as I thought, tombs are reduced to dumb set-pieces.

I liked this demo more than the other feels more tomb raidery plus I love that they didn't spoil the tomb puzzle other things I liked: the swimming and diving, the animation of getting out drying her hair. the reading the wall drawings, learn languages clues? the size of the tomb, the atmosphere I hope that other tombs vary a whole bunch though in atmosphere maybe like older tomb raiders like fire tombs etc. I really can't wait now D: stupid exclusive I hope Xbox fans love this :'c

It looks really good. I do hope they fix some of the movement animation when she jumps for example, and her hair is a bit too free moving I think. Still, I can't wait!

I want this tape after she heard it, she was able to climb a wall, two second earlier she was barely able to walk straight.
I think at last minute they changed to scorpion from spiders, since so many spiders webs are their and people also prefer scorpion over spider, not a bad change, but I hate spiders and I love to hate them in games.
Nice old school touch with the diving and the dry hair animation.

Lara Croft, the cat with the nine lives :) It looks absolutely gorgeous (graphics, nice views) but the overall 'feel' looks very similar to Tomb Raider (2013) (and some elements are rather repetitive from that game, not sure if I like or do not like that though, maybe I expected a little bit more variety)... that's why I hope the developers will (gradually) return to the 'core' of Tomb Raider: action (yes) but with a clear focus on solving puzzles (discovering major tombs) and on fascinating archeology (history, collecting artifacts e.g.). One thing I definitely like is that Lara can swim now (since I was so annoyed by that irritating 'try to swim' video (mainly on Shipwreck Beach) in which Lara dies immediately when she gets herselve in deep water (and the game presumes she dies because of rocks/spikes which is not the case, not everywhere at least)). And some elements in the video even reminded me of the old days in Legend, which make me so curious of the game as a whole :) Anyway, thanks for the upload Stella!

Amazing! However, I need more epic scene, to see how small a person is, and let's Lara alone with animal, beast & god. Shooting bad guys ? no need!
