DeepCool AK620 vs Noctua NH-D15 (and others)

Показать описание
In today's video we take a look at the DeepCool AK620 which has a dual tower design, similar to the Noctua NH-D15, but with less depth than the latter. It weighs more, though, at 1456gr with both fans installed (vs 1320gr for the D15, with the fans installed). Its depth is at 160mm and the cooling fan on the RAM side allows for DIMMs with up to 47mm height. Both towers have plastic covers on their topsides, which can be easily removed. The checkers board design on the towers looks amazing. This is something I have never seen before.

Pros 👍
• Top performance
• Reasonable price
• Good build quality
• Not noisy
• Easy to install
• Decent RAM clearance given its volume
• FDB fans with PWM control
• Rich bundle including a PWM-splitter
• Terrific design
• Comes with the fans installed for less hassle

Cons 👎
• Increased dimensions (smaller than the D15, though)
• No fan PWM-spiller in the bundle
• Given the FDB fans, the warranty could be longer
• No RGB lighting can be a problem for some

Since there is some confusion with the loads we apply through our custom load tester, from the next review we will use normalized Watt ratings, to a real CPU. 500W on Jalapeno is around 225W on a CPU, 400W are 180W, 200W are 90W.

Wow this really performs well compared to the D15 on price and being slightly smaller for case compatibility as well means there's more pros to it than the D15.

I'm impressed by this cooler, but also by your testing methodology. Even though a 500W load is unrealistic for pretty much any current CPU, it's still amazing to see how these products stack up under extreme conditions. Keep up the good work!

Good review bought this for my Ryzen7 7700x.

You must be a mind reader! I just ordered a 5800X I found on sale and was looking for a cooler. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for this intersting review! I am really surprised with the aircoolers coming from Deepcool. I am using the AS500 Plus and it is a really strong performance single tower cooler. And a nice looking design is a plus!

Ok Aris. Another perfect Video. Be safe, stay cool, by.

Pretty good. They should call it the Coolcube, because of the smooth cube shape, and because Deepcool already has the Macube chassis.

Looking for it... May Jesus Christ bless you sir and your family... Thanks for the job.

What's the practical reason for preferring tower coolers to have shorter times to steady state as opposed to water coolers? I would've thought you would want both to keep temperatures lower for longer.

Also do you get any Thermalright coolers in Greece? They're available for relatively cheap in China and Canada and they look very compelling.

Very good review, I just ordered my AK620 on Amazon, I was wondering installing a 3rd deepcool FK120 fan would bring additional cooling to this cube??...(so perhaps the AK620 could surpass the Noctua15D in cooling temperature?)..
😊 Thx

would be fairer to compare it with the NH-D15S. and still there will be 15dls dif for pretty much same perf but with better looking.

Thank for the video, it’s really useful. I have a question, deepcool ak620 is enough for a ryzen 5800x? Thank you!

More terrific on PS5 or GPU (tower cooler).

Hey what are those 400 or 500W load? 400W pulled from cpu or whole system.
Also your delta bas 37.8 and let's say my room temp is 30 then we're only getting 68 degree celcius on 500W load? Sounds wrong. Please explain this

Also please include sound test of fan/cooler in review like keeping the microphone about 30cm from the cooler.

Good video man but I'm so confused on your temps report. Doesn't make sense

Hey there, thank you for the video, I found it very useful! Do you think Deepcool AK620 will be sufficient and ok to use it with Intel core i7-13700k? I don't want to get a water cooler, so I'm choosing now the best air cooler for that processor.

Hello, very nice review, detailed yet simple to understand.
However, I am confused about the RAM clearance, you say its 47mm but their website sys 43mm.
I want to install a 44mm RAM, will it still fit if clearance is just 43mm ?
Also, can we move those fans on the side of the RAM modules, a little to the top, to make way for the RAM?

Thanks you, like and subscribed.

I thought my arctic esports 34 was a strong challenger. It just got the beating of its life. Time to retire little buddy. We had a good time playing all those rpg and now you deserve to rest in peace.
