Edited: I have really thick hair so if I wash it during the day my hair doesn't dry, it takes atleast 12 hours to dry and I don't use hair dryers because my then goes frizzy

I shower two hours before I go to bed so when I wake up it looks nicer as my hair is generally 98% dry by then. And I have a hair treatment I put in before bed that prevents dandruff so honestly it’s not that bad as long as you treat your hair before you lay down.

Don’t sleep with wet hair unless you have curly hair. Curly hair needs the moisture in it especially if you’re going to brush it out and style it in the morning (you can’t brush your curls dry)
