Humidipak tip: When they dry out, don't throw them away. Put 'em in a Tupperware with a separate vessel filled with distilled water (i.e. don't get the humidpaks wet), and close the Tupperware. Two weeks later....bam! Good as new.

I live in a slightly humid climate with the humidity ranging from 65-85 outside. I run a humidity controlled dehumidifier which brings the humidity down to 45-55%. I have two sensors to check at all times and alert me when it’s wrong. I don’t use the packs at all, I don’t generally need to add humidity just remove it. Because of this I can keep my guitar out of its case for easy access at anytime.

Acoustic guitar is very hard To please but I love playing acoustic blues. I can jam during 3hours, I just love the song of my acoustic guitar.
So that's great that you do this! thanks Marty ! Rock'on!🎸

Unwinds the cut string and drops it saying, "just throw it down there with all the legos!" 🤣 As a father with lego loving kids, I can relate!

Although cutting the strings is certainly faster, I would take the time to take it off in one piece. You had to guess how long the string has to be to get a good amount of windings on the tuner. You ended up with one winding. I once had my guitar set-up by a luthier and he set it up perfectly with the right amount of wraps on each string. Now I take off the old strings and cut the new string to the same length. I end up with a nice clean headstock with the right amount of wraps around each tuning peg.
