My interpretation of an old Ukrainian song called Рідна мати моя (My dear mother). Let us never forget to show our mothers how much we love them!

Made me cry! My parents were Polish but my Dad was from near Lvov (Lviv) when it was in Poland (before the war) so maybe that makes me a bit Ukrainian in spirit? This song certainly got right to my heart for whatever reason. Thank you!

In the midst of all the suffering, death and destruction we are witnessing, we here in the West (I'm from the US) are discovering the heart and soul of the Ukranians and are falling in love with the people, the culture and even a language that we didn't know before.
