FYI Half the battery pack charged 12% of an iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Are you on iOS 15? It should have some MagSafe notifications like the Smart Case and Wallet animation. And you can also charge your MagSafe Power Bank while attached to your iPhone, your iPhone basically also gives power “reverse charging”.

I keep a spare cable in my car and i have a portable charger in my home. I cant be bothered to remove my case that has all my cards in to stick this on the back.

Got mine today as well (also in Melbourne) working great with my 12 mini. Only thing i don’t like is how slippery it is

Currently own an iPhone 11 Pro with a smart battery case. Best case I ever had, period, starting with one for 6s. This gimmicky battery pack plain sucks, you have to carry it around, it doesn’t offer anything but an extra battery charge.

Apple should have made a Smart Battery Case for the iPhone 12 not this weird thing.

I like the idea of magsafe. I think Apple missed the mark a bit with the strength of magnets. It’s just not a strong enough bond to feel good about attaching things.
I won’t be surprised if the new iPhones have stronger magnets.
