Just hope that Broadway Boy who fell nastily and Celebre d'Allen who collapsed on the run in are ok. They were both running a great race until those nasty accidents.

There was nothing 'Grand' about this! It used to be the ultimate steeplechasing test of horse and jockey, best if they just permanently cancelled it and left us with our memories of a once great event.

The prize money needs cutting to £100, 000, 40, 000, 10, 000 and £5, 000.
Give the rest to the Midlands national, Eider, welsh national and London national for real stayers who can jump.

I Am Maximus tried his heart out. Carrying a extra 8lbs. Kept getting knocked back in the pack and lost ground due to some sketchy jumping. Paul made a good move but used up too much energy to get up on the front end which cost I Am Maximus the race.
