Great show Caleb. Thank you, you have a great gift in explaining in a condensed form to make us think. From Tasmania

I found this lecture very informative and brought a different perspective to the table to consider and much to consider and ponder. Thank you Caleb.

The original impulse of Christianity was all about our species cultivating conscience. Jesus knew he was the evolutionary catalyst meant to prod his species along a path that activates this capacity for conscience. Imperialism takes us on the opposite path and cannot remain as it is anti-evolutionary. Caleb, thank you for this talk. You are so insightful. You might appreciate my channel for a modern mystic's view of the Christ.

Not sure why you people spend your lives arguing about communism vs. capitalism. Just do both on a voluntary bases if you want communism freedom will give you that. If you want capitalism freedom gives you that. Freedom is your answer if you need to take other peoples resources to make your plan work it just makes you failed.

I actually think Morris Hilquit proudly called himself a "sewer socialist." Good sewers were hard to come by in those days!

I don't know if it could be framed as "socialism with Russian characteristics" but at some point after the second world war, the CPSU had theorized that changes in Soviet society had compelled a shift beyond the dictatorship of the proletariat to a socialist state of the entire people, as was evident in their literature from that time forward.
