When you push your body to its limit like that it feels like there’s no way you can inhale enough air to stay alive, and like your heart’s pumping so hard it’s gonna give out. You get super nauseous and dizzy. It’s the best feeling ever once you cool off though

It’s scary to know that they tell them to stay up because if they don’t, their lungs could fail or their hearts could change pace; to which they’d think they’re having a heart attack lmao. No one ever told me that when I did cross country and now that I know, it’s always in the back of my mind 😂
