SEND YOUR AP SCORES!!! If you get an A in an AP class, but you don’t send an AP score to Ivy League colleges, you’re basically telling them that you got less than a 3 on the exam. That’s fine if you’re only omitting one or two AP scores, but you send them plenty of other high AP scores. But, if you don’t send them any AP scores at all, but took a lot of AP classes, thats a HUGE 🚩 that can get you rejected from an Ivy League college.

I feel like if you took 18 APs and sent in 0 then you just don't know how to submit scores. If only like 2 scores were sent in, thats when I'd be scared.

This is why you shouldn't bother with ap classes. Check how to do duel enrollment in your area just take the college class and get good grades without all of the class resting on 1 test result.

I took AP English my senior year and had an A in the class. Problem was nothing the teacher taught was in the AP exam. Not sure how he prepared his syllabus but it didn’t help at all in prepping for the exam. On the other hand my AP Calc teacher made sure the AP exam was the easiest thing we did all year.

i was actually too poor to be able to afford to do any of the AP exams, but I loved having the mental stimulation of being in harder, more interesting classes. 😶

Maybe she only took the class and not the exam. I took AP Pysch, but was unable to take the test due to a medical issue. On the flip side tho, I failed my last term of AP Human Georgraphy, but got a 5 on the test.

This assumes that AP exams are accesible for all AP students (in my school we had to pay for them) and that they are a reliable indicator of college performance. This video has made me lose faith in the legitimacy of the ivy league application process.

Either they were cheating or they just couldn’t spend $100 for each exam

Everyone in the comments giving a better reason for why someone who took that many AP classes might not send in AP scores. I went to the thought that maybe the college doesn't allow for AP classes to count for college credit. I went to a state school and some AP classes they count as college credit for certain scores, other AP classes don't count for anything so I didn't send those scores in no matter how well I scored. I would assume that a lot of Ivy League schools don't give credit for AP classes as their curriculum often is not credit hour based.

Or maybe CollegeBoard is a greedy corporation that requires you to pay every time you want to send your AP or SAT scores.

Maybe she forgot to submit or maybe she sucks at tests but was a great student when there wasn't a stressful testing environment.

Tests are scary they likely failed due to pressure less lack of knowledge
