Lenovo Ideapad S540 13 Pro | Ryzen 4600U | MacBook Air killer?

This is a very special laptop! Lenovo has done everything right to make this laptop the best in class.

The display is amazing and overall built is really solid. This is definitely my next if i ever go for a Windows laptop for my own personal use.

And how good the Ryzen 4600U processor is! Blown away by the performance! Ryzen is firing all cylinders and intel should be worried.

As of now, this is not available in India but it's coming soon! I bought this from Singapore for SGD 1200 which is around INR 65,000.

I have been watching your videos for a while as I want to keep myself updated with consumers' laptop models as an IT technician.

As a Singaporean, it is no surprise that you bought this from Atrix. Their selection has been decent. Even the S540 Intel models are sold out on LENOVO online shop.

Excellent and a precise laptop review.
I have one suggestion while summing up at the end please do always mention the lack of dedicated GPU in its cons. I'm sure the ports selection can be fixed by jack/adapter but the lack of graphics can't be. :)

A perfect laptop (even a thin and light machine up to 1.5-1.8 kgs) must carry a dedicated MX250 / MX 350 2GB so that light gaming (but more imp video effects is possible).
Cause if not, make sure the laptop is light if not powerful (max 1.3-1.5 kg without GPU).
Cause that 512 MB VRAM is definitely a bothering issue for many. That is easily solvable by adding a Low powered dedicated GPU especially if you're pricing the machine so high that budget isn't an issue.

Excellent Laptop by Lenovo but I'm damn sure when it comes to India they will make sure to price it so high that it goes out of budget for most people! (expecting around 80-90k).

Hi Varun, Thank you for the review. I am looking for a future-proof laptop which has following:
1. Performance- Must be capable of simultaneously running the following- browsing (40-50 open tabs), Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF, and one video calling software.
2. Specs- i5 10th gen, 8 GB RAM, NVMe SSD-not more than 256 GB, decent camera, Windows.
3. Battery- Type-C charging with quick charge plus minimum 7-8 hours of backup. I don’t play any game on the laptop. Would only need to simultaneously run the above-mentioned programs.
4. Screen: Need a bright HD screen which is bezel less and is minimum 13.3 inch or above. Ideal would be a bezel less 15-inch display like Honor Magicbook. Sometimes, I use a monitor as an extended display with the laptop. I don’t need touchscreen display at all.
5. Durability: Looking for a sturdy body. Easy to work-Keyboard and Touchpad. No heating issues. Wish to go for reliable brands only so that it lasts for at least 2 years.
6. Price: Flexible with the price range. Upper limit is INR 90K.
7. Preferred series: Dell Inspiron, Lenovo Thinkpad, LG Gram, Microsoft Surface Laptop, Asus Zenbook, Acer Swift- actually whatever you’d recommend.
I’ll be really grateful if you could recommend a specific laptop.

I have the intel version i5 10gen. The performance in this is SUPERB. Brilliant dispaly, great trackpad. The only issue i had in this was the click on the touchpad, the click is not satisfactory. Multitasking will give you 8 hours of battery life TOPS!!
