De mon triste desplaisir
Francesco da Milano (1497 -1543) known as Il Divino (the divine) is renowned as the first great instrumental virtuoso and composer in the history of Western music. He was heralded as the greatest lute composer of his age, and perhaps of the entire renaissance. 124 works of his survive comprising mostly Ricercars, Fantasias and Intabulations, all composed for the 6-course lute.
De mon triste desplaisir (Ness 121) is an Intabulation of a renowned song composed by Franco-Flemish composer Jean Richafort (c.1480-1547)
