Viewing a person as a vector is a very interesting concept.
Even though the output by the person is a scalar rating, each individual can represent a vector.
The rating itself can represent a dot product between the person and the unit vector of the product.
If we collect rating from a same group of people on different products, we can categorized each product using these people as a guide.
We can also group people together if they rate the product similarly and use them interchangeably if we are missing data on some people on some products.
