the reason why people are naturally afraid of things that look human but aren’t quite there is because corpses tend to look like that depending on how recent it is. it’s a natural instinct for us, basically telling us “it’s a human but it’s dead and the thing that killed it could still be lurking.” and it freaks us out more whenever things like that (uncanny valley type shit) start moving because it sorta goes AGAINST our instincts because… it’s not supposed to move. it’s supposed to be dead.

just to let you all know before you get scared doctors didn't wash their hands because they didn't know bacteria and germs existed. doctors now would be as safe as possible and wouldn't risk anything.

The strange thing is, the one about the doctor is true. I learned about this in a health class. Sanitation was a new thing after the dark ages. So doctors knew nothing about washing hands when a woman went into labor. About everyone when a doctor would deliver a baby, the mother would die. A man went into research about this, can't remember who, and basically said, "Wash your hands and the mother won't die."
