I am a retired Registered Nurse (RN for 53 years) and I can say unequivocally that our healthcare system has little to do with health and everything to do with MONEY. If physicians are being reimbursed by insurance they are pretty much obligated to see one patient every 10 or 15 minutes…and clinics and hospitals are working more and harder with less staff, which does not lend itself to good care. You are so right about having an ADVOCATE (either yourself or a loved one). If you do not you will truly be buried in (or by) the ‘system’.
My prayers are with you 🙏🙏🙏

It is not a bad idea to write “milestone letters”, none of us know when we might leave this world.
I got breast cancer at age 36. A radical mastectomy and 6 months of super tough chemotherapy and I lived.I am now 68 and had no recurrence. I had a 12 year old daughter and she was my only concern. I didn’t even think about writing her letters until it was all over. I was blessed.
We can be called home at any time….car wreck, aneurysms, heart attacks, etc… Praying for you and your family. Oh my…. Our modern healthScare system…. Oh my… I have been a registered nurse since 1986, you are right….I would have insisted on immediate imaging…. If your Dr. Is not responsive…. Go to E.R. Howling in pain…. They will do some imaging…just sayin’💝
Thanks for the “letters” idea. Reflection is a good thing💕💕

Sending prayers for fast recovery. Lypoma can be wrapped between, and around arteries, muscles, nerves ect...some are easy to get out whereas others require a surgeon. I have 3 on my upper leg wrapped around arteries. The doctor wants me to leave them alone unless it grows too much, and causes pain.

You are so right with advocacy.. My husband had pneumonia 4 times in 4 months, was very sick with high fevers and extremely high BPs and A-fib heart rates. Finally after 4times in the ER and 3 urgent care visits and many antibiotics and prescriptions they dug further and found his heart valve was discinagrating. He had open heart surgery and is feeling better then he has in a year. We had to push, call, badger and cry. Keep asking for more because the system is not your advocate, you are. Blessings for a speedy recovery.

Preach it, Sister. I just walked this journey with my elderly mother who passed in July at 96 yo. My last experience with Healthcare was in the mid 70's and the change (DECLINE) was jaw dropping! Every patient MUST HAVE an advocate educated enough to step forward for the patient and not just accept the turtle like speed/ approach we experienced again and again during her final years. Great content!! Prayers for fast healing, Friend!!

Praying for complete recovery. My other half was initially misdiagnosed for sciatica from being overweight even though pain symptoms were nothing like sciatica. Was told to get physio. 2nd opinion found lytic lesions in pelvic bones from a speading 10 cm lymphoma in the mesentary surrounding colon. Stage 4. Complete recovery now one year later. Glory to God. All things are possible.

Hey Melissa, my husband just had a 7.5cm tumor removed from his neck along with all of his thyroid and parathyroid. By Gods grace and mercy alone his cancer was contained only to his neck. It’s been a very challenging past 6 months with everything he’s been through with surgeries and all but God has been so close to us during this time. Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m praying that you’re doing better and will pray for you and your recovery. God bless you in Jesus name. ❤️🙏🫂

I really hope your video spreads to alert people of the importance to not put things off nor allow Drs to ignore symptoms & simply say it’s probably inflammation. My dear brother went to the ER & is in AFIB for the past 2 weeks. Yesterday (Tuesday) was his 1st cardiology appointment, & his Dr cancelled his appointment to take time off for Thanksgiving. His new appointment is in 2 more weeks. He is in danger of throwing blood clots & just has to wait until he can see his cardiologist. Our healthcare system is so broken! Praying for your quick recovery.

I tend to put my health issues aside because I don't have much faith in our health care system. Thanx for reminding me to be my own advocate. You are amazing & I admire you & your lifestyle. I pray for a smooth surgery & speedy recovery. I hope you find that happy medium between life & media posting. Take care of yourself first, your audience will always be here for you. God bless & cover you under His wings. ❤🙏❤️

Praying now for your complete healing and recovery, and a CLEAN bill of health! Psalm 91 is a wonderful way to start and/or end the day. I love to read it out loud. The supernatural world around us perks up its ears when we do that. The very next verse gives us confidence, too: "You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday...Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward if the wicked." He loves us so much❤️

I'm so sorry! How scary! I'm a Canadian and have lived within our socialized medical system for over 40 years. We vacationed in the USA and have periodically used the medical system there, and moved to the USA with my American husband in 2019. I have always been amazed at how quickly we could get in to doctors and specialists in the USA compared to the Canada. Minimum wait to see a specialist in Canada is 4-6months. And if your first specialist that you see doesn't give you a diagnosis, then you're at the back of the line for the next specialist. Getting a diagnosis can take years due to these ridiculous long waits. We tried to set up a local MRI clinic in our town, had a machine and office space lined out. We're 2 hours from the closest MRI clinic. When our paperwork finally made it's way through all the public system, my husband received an email telling him that despite the minimum 4 month wait and super long drive for rural patients, that the MRI facility had a greater capacity and was "operating as intended". So...ya. That's socialized medicine for you.

God bless you as you go through this difficult journey. I might add one piece of advice for anyone working with a doctor’s office. NEVER proceed with the idea that no news is good news. Unfortunately, we are all human in the office and sometimes people just fall through the cracks. Keep in touch with your doctors office because no one cares more about your health than you. Be considerate and kind, but be persistent.

Living in the uncertainty can be terrifying...I went through something similar a few years ago and the wait is excruciating. Glad that they have an idea of what is is and an action you can take to move forward. Sending loads of love and prayers your way! 🙏💕
