Uber doesn't own any fleets. They have contract drivers that own the vehicles. Uber is just a dispatch company that uses an app to send offers from passengers and drivers.

Typical greedy CEO. Prices have gone up, yet they're paying drivers a 1/3 of what they were ten years, ago. It is just an app, customer service is in another country, drivers pay their own insurance, wear and tear on their vehicles, yet he says they can't afford to pay minimum wage to drivers. Of course they are making record profits, even though it's a race to the bottom.

So he said surge pricing was to get driver but downplayed that many times drivers do not see 50% of the surge amount. The way Uber drivers see the fare breakdown comes WITHOUT an explanation of what Uber sliding scale of external fees. These fees should be Uber's business expenses but are passed on to the driver. These fees are considered revenue on a driver's bottom line.

Did he say "Fleet?" What "Fleet" of vehicles does Uber have? The drivers, who are called "contractors" own the vehicles and Uber doesn't even pay them a fair percentage of the ride to pay for wear and tear, gas, etc. And we're not true "contractors" as Uber hides many of the details of the ride and lowers your scores or ratings when you, as a "contractor" decline rides you analyze as unprofitable. If there were no drivers willing to sign up their personal vehicles for rides, there would be no UBER!!

Now that wridz is in Minneapolis. I wonder uber can compete with wridz. Driver gets 100 percent of fare . Uber and Lyft take 70 percent after external fees of fare. Wrydz only charges driver 100.00 server fee. Please come to Sacramento wrldz
