This was the most succinct and comprehensive explanation I've seen so far.
To be honest, I'm having a hard time pin-pointing what a digital twin actually is, perhaps because I don't quite see how it differs from any other numerical model.

From what I understand, a "digital twin" is simply the term that is given to the totality of a numerical model in which live (or simulated) operational data can be streamed. It's largely the context and how it's meant to be used and integrated that separates it as a "digital twin". I.e. the data streamed to it is meant to be received from a bunch of sensors present in the real thing, which can be used to document how the product is used, its state over time, and so on. That and the model needs to be organized in such a way that it can also be probed during its live operation.

Also I'm assuming you're supposed to have one "twin" per instance of a system. Meaning if you have 10 wind turbines, you'd have 10 digital twins online, each receiving data from its respective wind turbine?

Nice job Mohan. The concept of Digital Twin had been explained very well using Turbine and Auto example! I didn't realize that I will end up seeing you in the video while searching!

Thank you so much for the video. My doubt is that if the replica of actual product is digital, then how will it be used in real world and real time scenario? Because a digital product may operate in a simulated environment right? Thanks in advance

Excellent. AI, ML, DL, IoT can together engineer holistic concepts that will ensure Process Quality Assurance, thereby Max Social Good. Gr8t Video, Mr Ronald, Sir. DigitalTwin concept can be used possibly in Product and/or Market-test different kinds of "Drones", I guess.
