If that is so, then the rest of the world countries that has major world water bodies can claim too .France has maritime exclusive economic zone if 9.5 million sq km. India can claim bay if bengal, Egypt can claim Red Sea. USA can claim Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, Russia can claim artic sea, Black Sea, Caspian Sea, China has no basis
