I truly don't like trying to sell you guys stuff, but if you would like to support the channel here's one way you can. This store has taken me 5+ years to create, and its still a work in progress. Please don't feel obligated to buy anything, but a Sincere Thank You if you do. Proceeds will be invested back into this channel along with helping me keep up with my family bills.
Again thank you, and tight lines!

Thanks, I really enjoyed the video. You put more effort and imagination into the camera work than most folks on YouTube. Great job !!!

The myth behind harvestmen is absolutely crazy to me. They are indeed arachnids, but not actually spiders. They're actually a type of cranefly. You can indeed get bitten by one, but it will never do much harm as they actually have low amounts of venom. They do kill venomous spiders though, like the black widow, so they're great to keep around. I'm guessing that's what started the rumor in the first place, if they can take out a venomous spider, they must be twice as venomous... I'm nerding out on this one, but I find the subject interesting.

Honestly that rod looks like a blast, been enjoying the mizuchi but that rod is just different enough to justifying a purchase. Thanks for the video, always enjoy watching footage of my home river.

Never tried Tenkara but looks intriguing. Been a 'traditional' fly fisherman for 25 years and started Euro nymphing this year. Catching fish on the euro, but not quite ready to declare it superior to traditional nymph methods. Love watching your vids man. I always learn from folks hitting my local holes. Keep up the good work!

This was a great video! I just ordered my first Tenkara rod a few days ago and I’m waiting for it to arrive now. I’ve been into backpacking for a long time and Tenkara seems like the perfect fit for my trips. Another way to enjoy the outdoors. I’ve been watching a lot of Tenkara videos over the last few weeks and I really enjoy what you’re doing here. Definitely subscribed 🤙

Great video. I love the foxfire such a fun rod. I appreciate that you put the work in to getting multiple camera angles and its more than just the gopro chest/head mount perspective. Subscribed!

I started fishing western-style, and while I still buy western gear, I'm 95% tenkara now. I also have the Foxfire glass rod, but lately, I've been using the Aventik Zeno glass rods because they just pack down a bit smaller. I'm thinking about attaching an ESN fly line to roll out the dries, but honestly, just using a simple kebari just makes it easier to not have to carry around a box full of dries. 😁

I, like you, love to fly fish in all styles. Getting ready to work on the tight line nymphin/euro stuff. I have a Foxfire and love it too.

Nice video! What wading staff are you using here? I started out fly fishing and also have been using Tenkara for about a year. I like the simplicity of it and my little boys use Tenkara as well.

Haven't gotten into the Tenkara, but I have used a line on a stick and caught Those were pretty browns.

Hello Steve, since our email conversation about the Blackfly Creations tactical pen, I have subscribed to your channel, which dropped me into the Tenkara rabbit hole.. I'm not sure if the Tenkara rod is enough for the local waters. The Olympic Peninsula has an astounding variety of conditions. The rod could handle the 15-inch rainbow I caught, but the 3 lb. steelhead? I don't know. And there are much bigger fish around.

The insect you showed looks like one of the assassin bug life stages.
