American voters react to Biden stepping down

Voters have been reacting after Joe Biden stepped down from the US presidential election race on Sunday night and endorsed Kamala Harris to replace him.

The 81-year-old president said it was “in the best interest of my party and the country” to stand aside after weeks of intense pressure over his age and health.

Mr Biden informed his family and closest circle of aides about his decision on Saturday afternoon, and wrote his letter to the country with Steve Richetti and Mike Donilon, two of his top advisers.

I would love to see a Hispanic president, but I wouldn't vote that person just because they're Hispanic. Vote because they have qualifications, good track record, etc!!

I’m confident they won’t go for Harris, vice presidents are typically just door mats - they chose her as VP to connect to the demographics.
Their best bet would be to pitch a young, driven enthusiastic democrat - which can combat the whole ‘age’ issue because Trump I’m pretty sure is only 4 years younger than Biden.
