I don't get why people hate Daniel Padilla's singing. I mean we've seen worse. He's not a pro but he's definitely good. There's a suave factor. He's not screaming at us and it's just chill.

I was on my way to Dagupan kanina.
As usual, nag-jeep ako.
And since favorite spot ko yung pinaka-dulong part ng jeep dun ako lagi naupo.

Tapos sa bandang Saipan, may pumarang lolo, mid 60's I guess. Naka-polo with matching jumper na pants and naka-headset. Umusog agad ako para maka-upo si lolo. So magkatabi kami, and because last seat na yun sa jeep, super siksikan. I smiled at him nung nagka-chance akong maka-eye-to-eye siya.
I always have this fond feeling kasi pagdating sa mga old people, they seem very pure and nice. Then he smiled back.

And though naka-headset siya, rinig na rinig ko parin yung kantang pinapa-tugtog niya.
The lyrics goes this way,

And instantly napangiti ako.
The song was "Mabagal". And I love that song, it's just so nostalgic and calm.

And then lolo spoke, "Ang ganda diba, Ineng?". He must've caught me smiling.
So I answered, "Opo."
"Sayang ngayon lang nagawa tong kanta." There's a mixture of longing ang pain when he said that. And because I was so curious to know I asked him why.
"Magugustuhan sana ni Concepcion, kaya lang hindi ko na siya maisasayaw pa."
Then a tear escape from my eye.

Theres a reason this song won himig handog. Its not just because of daniel's charisma and him collabbing with moira. Its actually more than that, this song feels like a song from the 90s which made most older people delighted. This song is something i would cherish for a long time. Great job, Daniel and Moira.
