Hey would the steps be the same if youre doing it on a private server? Or do you just need to do things like get the proper tools version for the private server version

Is this the same with .rar files? I can't seem to figure out what the process is when it comes to .rar files. The .zip files I understand to the fullest, it's just the .rar files that I don't understand, if you're willing to help me out with that.
