For A Few Dollars More - Final Duel Music (RIP Ennio Morricone, 6th July 2020)

This is the complete final duel music from Sergio Leone's 1965 spaghetti western movie "For a few dollars more". Known as "La Resa Dei Conti" or "Sixty seconds to what?" from composer Ennio Morricone, who sadly passed away on the 6th of July, 2020. This is NOT a shitty re-edit like every other upload, this is the real track used in the movie, never featured on any soundtrack release.

One of the reasons this is so good, one mind you, is that Clint Eastwood's character is actually a supporting one. He's not the hero, Col. Mortimer is. This is his story.

It boggles my mind how Morricone would not include this, arguably one of his best pieces of music, off of the original soundtrack! This song is just so heavenly...

RIP Lee Val Cleef. This climax of the film where his character gets his revenge has an even greater story to it. His film career was just about to go bust, when I think it was Eastwood who helped him get this part. Cleef's career took off again from this movie.

My dad watched a Spanish version of this movie when he was a kid and he gave me the English version before I knew who Clint Eastwood was. We've watched a lot of westerns together since. This scene is insane. The old man was seconds from death, but here comes a lifeline with his own watch to give him a chance to save his life. The facial expressions are so good. I never get tired of watching it.

Gian Maria Volonte' as the Indio was astonishing, he was a amazing actor. This movie is a masterpiece under each aspect:

He will always be remembered as the great composer who shared his dreams with those who admired him and respected him for his talent. It is sad to see him leave us, but he now rests in a better place and will be never forgotten as the one who touched so many hearts with his excellent mind to be able to achieve such great music. It leaves us with his memories. May he rest in peace. Thank you.

Personally, I think this theme is the best of Morricone’s final duel themes. And yes, that includes Il Triello. There’s just so much emotion in this piece, so much weighing on each and every note. It’s a fantastic sequence. The scene itself may not win out over that last standoff between The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. But for what’s its worth, the music here is king.

This complete final duel es pure magic... The music goes in perfect armony with the acción. The all idea, the scenary, the way in which Leone alternates the wide angles and the first planes, with alternate single faces covering the full screen... And the three characters (the three actors) yelling their emotions but without saying a single words, only letting their eyes tell the story and what was behind... But, guys, think for a moment: without this magical music, the all sequence would be significantly less powerful. Sergio Leone was a genius, but Morricone was even greater.

What an absolutely brilliant movie. Movies like this will never be seen today. Just basic suspense and good simple story line. I have many Sergio movies. Good Saturday night viewing.

I wish Van Cleef would have been the Good guy more often in films.Hell I wish that Colonel Mortimer would have had two more movies of his own with out Joe/Montaeo/Blondie/man with no name.

Good old times, movies and actors. Thanks for the memories and your movies to watch over and over again. Nobody is making good movies like this one any more. Legends maybe gone, but as long we are taking about them they will live with us .
We miss you and still love you 😍

Estas películas son una obra de arte, para mi estàn entre las 10 mejores de todos los tiempos. Bueno, no puedo ocultar mi fanatismo por este director, por los actores y por Morricone.
