Could a playpen for small dogs be made out of these materials? I’m thinking 3/4 inch double walled not the thin walled) PVC pipes and wire mesh like this with zip ties. It would be 2’Wx4’Hx6’L. And tips or advice would be appreciated! I’m trying to help my local private run shelter by building them seven of those pen’s of that size for their small dog room. Their small dogs are in metal industry standard cat cages, which I hate to put any animal in.

They do look like they are very well taken care of but I really wish people would stop breeding birds. Most owners cannot/do not give them everything they really need. I’ve seen so many just sit alone in a dirty cage for years, never being taken out or anything. And when they scream out of going cage crazy from boredom and no one to interact with, the people cover the cage and so they sit there, alone, in the dark. It breaks my heart. They are amazing animals but and animals only makes a “good pet” if it’s fairly easy to give them everything they need. A caged bird, even one that’s let out a few times each day, is but a shadow of their wild counterparts. And the last point is that many parrot species live 50+ years and between people giving them up to other owners and owners dying and the bird being passed to someone else, these animals go through so many people in their lifetime. And most mate for life so to just be ripped away from everything familiar and thrown in with new people and new surroundings, it’s very hard on them! If anyone knows for sure that they can give an amazing life to some parrots, please adopt ones that need homes, do not purchase babies. The breeding for the pet industry needs to stop.
