Resonant Frequency Formula
The resonant frequency is the frequency of a resonant circuit. A Resonant circuit is also identified as LC circuit or tank circuit. This circuit comprises of inductor and capacitor attached parallel to each other.
The resonant circuit is used to create a particular frequency or to select a particular frequency from a complex circuit.

Resonance in a Tank Circuit
A condition of resonance will be experienced in a tank circuit when the reactance of the capacitor and inductorare equal to each other. Because inductive reactance increases with increasing frequency and capacitive reactance decreases with increasing frequency, there will only be one frequency where these two reactances will be equal.
