Chris explains that KEXP, founded in 1972 by four 👩‍🎓 University of Washington students, is now a global 🔥 powerhouse in the world of 🎼 music. 🎉Thanks to a 💰 contribution by the late Paul Allen, KEXP is a 💪 fully independent, non-profit organization. KEXP's 👁 vision is to create a connected and ❤ compassionate world that 🤗 embraces curiosity and a shared 💗 love of music. Chris explains that music helps us 👐 connect with each other, no matter the language or the 🗺 culture. He elaborates that all great music deserves to be 🎧 heard and as such,
KEXP is truly a new music station. The station also features a wide array of music from 🖼 country to 🎚 electronic, with special features like album ✍️ reviews, 🗣 podcasts, and special shows like TEEN, which is programmed and produced by teens, providing a 🎙 voice for Seattle's youth.
