passenger : Such a lovely day. Shame this isn't an open top bus.

It would be smart for the bus company to just make it as a sightseeing bus, instead of retiring it!

Lucky the bridge was not any lower otherwise peoples heads would have joined that roof.

That’s why double decker buses can’t fit under that bridge which applies also to HGVs they can’t fit under that bridge at all either

I once saw a Morrison’s van crash into a very low bridge.

Ironic how the bus company has Peak in it's name

He had obviously not been following the correct route for the bus, as he would not have had to pass under the bridge. What a fool.

It's ridiculous how many times people recreate the incident at Bulgy's Bridge.

Makes sense. He's driving on the wrong side of the road from the passenger seat.

He was driving a bus 4.2 meters high but the clearance sign said 12"9 . . .
By the time he realised it wasn't in meters he'd already hit it...

How can this happen? I'm sure that driving a double decker bus means you are a competent driver and know the exact height of the bus? There was clearly a sign on the bridge informing people of how high it is.

Of course they would. If he's just passed his bus test and just started working, he's inexperienced. Still legal.

The average double decker bus is in between 13ft9in and 14ft9in. So it makes sense as the bridge is 12ft9in.
