Someone dumped a young min pin off at my barn a couple of years ago. Now they are my absolute favorite breed. It's like dealing with a tiny sassy horse!

My wife had a min pin when we got married. I had never owned a dog before in my life so I was hesitant. After spending 5 minutes with him he jumped in my lap and he has been at my side every day for 4 years since. He's my buddy and a true joy on my life. He makes dark days better, and great days amazing.

He's true to his breed characteristics and is a very stubborn and independent 7 year old.

I'll own min pins until the day I die. They are a gift to the families that own them.

All of these comments of people talking so fondly about their dogs and how much they love them is so pure and wholesome and warms my heart so much lol❤️

Ah, i love my min pin so much. He’s my best friend. I swear he’s the smartest dogs I’ve ever met and extremely agile. He’s so much fun and super sassy. He loves his cuddles and he has his own special blankets that he’s claimed in the house. He makes me laugh. He’s become my service dog as well and keeps me sane lol. Best dog I could ever ask for. I’m blessed to have him

Nice video. I found a mini pinscher running into traffic here in Philly a couple months ago and decided to take him home with me, deflea him and find him a good home. Well, he's the best dog I've ever had and I fell in love, so now we're forever partners. I can tell whoever had him abused him so he gets a lot of TLC, but I've had to be very firm and consistent with the training. He pretty much came housebroken, but he's fearless and has a tendency to run away if he scoots out the door because he loves to chase other dogs and cars. Today he jumped out the damn car window through a small opening while we were at a light so he could chase a terrier and smell its butt. But he's great with kids and I've never seen him snap or bite anyone. He's good with the cats but is very possessive of me and my affection and will bully the cat off of my lap so he can have me all to himself. He's also greedy with his toys. He's definitely the most affectionate, sweet dog I've ever had and he comes everywhere with me and even sleeps under the covers in the bed. I love my Tito, my lil German guy with a Mexican name. Dogs truly pick their owners, because I'm also a domestic abuse survivor and needed him probably as much as he needed me.

Watching this video with a smile on my face bc my min pin is everything you describe and more... He wants to be kissed, hugged, and cuddled with 24/7. Wants to be next to me every min. I go to the bathroom he goes too. But he is also very independent and sociable. Loves people, especially little kids. I take him places and everyone falls in love with him. I fly with him and he just sits quietly. You wouldn't even know he is there❤

The love of my life was a Miniature Pinscher. I had gotten her from a breeder when I was 11 years old. She was a gift from my parents. At the time, she was 4 months old. I had her for 17 years and a few months. I lost her the day after Christmas two years ago and I miss her all the time. She was my best friend. I loved her with all my heart (and still do)!

We had a min pin as a family pet. He passed away at 13 years old, 2 years ago due to liver cancer. He was the best and sweetest dog. We were lucky with him cause he was the calmest dog and would sleep all day, everyday. He was stubborn at times, but overall a good dog. We recently got another min pin puppy. He will be a year old in January. He is so different compared to our other min pin we had before. When we first brought him home, he was so hyper, jumping on everyone and just an energizer bunny that wouldn’t turn off. We took him to obedience training and been training him for 3-4 months now. He is more calm and sleeps most of the day. He loves playing with other dogs, and loves squeaky toys! He also likes to lay by the heat vent underneath the blanket, loves to burrow underneath his blankets too. He thinks he is a big tough boy. He is very stubborn but also very smart. So first time owners of this particular breed maybe should rethink of getting a min pin. This breed is very high strung, very active and needs a lot of physical and mental stimulation for them to be happy. So if you work full time and putting them in a crate for 4-8 hours a day, (which you shouldn’t have any dog be in a crate for long periods of time anyway) isn’t going to work. That’s when you get the unwanted behavioral issues. As far as training goes, the owner needs to be confident, consistent, and make sure your min pin knows your the boss, or this breed will take advantage. Min pins aren’t for everyone. If your looking for a lap dog, this breed wouldn’t be for you. yes, they do like to cuddle, but only on their terms. Every min pin has their own unique personality. This breed is big dog in a tiny body with huge personality which make them great companions.

Great breed! The only one I will ever have. Beautiful, athletic, smart, loving and loyal.
My minpin always holds up one paw like the one in the video does.
Too cute😁

My daughter has a Min Pin but never spent time with him. I didn’t like him at all, he had bad manners (getting into the garbage, 1 & 2 in the house, not listening) he annoyed me but he was crazy about me. I started taking him on walks, beach, trails, downtown and he won my heart. His behavior improved dramatically-that was the problem all along -he just needed attention and lots of loving! I’m now his official Dad and I couldn’t love him more if I tried! ❤️❤️❤️ he is such a blessing and he never gave up on me!

I don't usually comment but I just had to share my story with my little boy Mickey, so named because he has very large ears. He was originally my sister's dog, who was 16 at the time, but she quickly grew tired of him and I took over his care and training when I was around 10. It's been thirteen years since then, and I adore him (this is saying a lot since I am very much a cat person). He knows how to sit, lay down, jump, dance, and roll over. He will follow me around the house, sit at my feet when I'm at the dining table, and wait outside the bathroom door for me. The part about them covering themselves in blankets is very much true, and I always wonder how he manages to breath when he sleeps under the covers with me but I love it nonetheless. He's like a cuddle buddy who is always there for me. The part about not liking being picked up is partially true. He will nip and bite anyone he isn't familiar with who tires, but often begs for me or my other family members to be picked up. He hardly ever barks unless someone is at the door. He is almost entirely blind now and can't dance or jump much anymore, due to his old age, but I love him regardless. If you're looking for a very affectionate, alert, smart, easily groomed, small, loyal dog, then a Miniature Pinscher is definitely a good fit for you.

I have a 12 year old and a 1 year old Min Pin. Everything they said is indeed true! Stubborn and bossy indeed, but the most loveable and cuddliest also. I love both of my boys!
