A Sound is a form of energy and it comes from vibrations. These vibrations create sound waves that move through mediums such as air and water before reaching our ears.

Covered Areas in this Session: sound, vibration, intensity, resonant vibrations, pitch, loudness, quality, pendulum, frequency, oscillation, natural oscillation, forced oscillation, resonance, amplitude, wavelength, damped vibrations, tension, stretched string, transverse vibrations, waves, echo depth sounding, ultrasonic waves

Our Goal in this Sound Class 10 ICSE Session, is to introduce some of the important Concepts in this Sound Chapter that may be helpful for students to clear doubts related to ICSE Physics Exam.

HW answer: The natural frequency matches with the forced freq. hence, amplitude increases and sound become louder
AMAZING SESSION AS USUAL!
My fav part was the bridge one and the Guitar one :D

H.w. Ans: a sound is heard louder during resonance because when forced vibration is given the frequency increases and when the forced frequency becomes equal to the natural frequency the amplitude increases and the sound becomes loud.AMAZING SESSION SIR AS USUAL. AND MY FAV RESONANCE PHENOMENON IS THAT BREAKING OF THE GLASS BY HARSH SIR

H.W. At resonance, the body vibrates with large amplitude thus conveying more energy to the ears so the loud sound is heard.

HW answer : When resonance happens body started vibrating with greater amplitude due to same frequency. This produces a loud sound !🙈
Awesome session as always !😍😍😍😍🙈
My fav phenomenon is the glass breaking one by Harsh sir !🤣🤣🤣🙈
Balle Balle, Tararara and Peace !✌️✌️✌️

Hw answer -because body starts vibrating at greater amplitude because of same frequency. 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆
Lovely session 😍😍
You are awesome. 😄😄😄😄😄
Balle balle✌, tararara
No doubt.

1. As the Natural and External frequencies are same in resonance and this results in High Amplitude hence the sound is loud
2. No doubts
3. The legendary Dancing bridge :)
BTW Sir I am Atharva from 8th

Answer; it is because the amplitude is becomes very high when the frequency is become equal to frequency of body (natural frequency).

As the natural frequency and forced frequency of a body becomes equal thus the body vibrates with a larger amplitude thus conveying more energy to ears so louder sound is heard during resonance.

Session was fabulous 😊😊

The answer to the homework question is lound sound is heard due to large amplitude.
Loved the session.
My fav was of tunning fork.

Homework Question's answer:
In resonance, the natural frequency of the body becomes exactly equal to the forced frequency of the external periodic force applied, and hence the amplitude becomes very large ( Larger the amplitude, louder the sound). This results in a loud sound being heard at resonance.
The tuning fork phenomenon was my favourite of all ! ;)
Thank you !! :D

Sir, . you said in guitar, when the frequency of the string matches the air inside the box then a large sound is produced but sir every string have different frequencies?

Sir apne kaha,
External vib < natural vib ntg happens
External vib=natural vib the body breaks
If external vib > natural vib what happens.... ? Plz answer sir

At resonance compression falls on compression and rarefaction falls over rarefaction, due to which amplitude of vibration of particle increases. Since I is proportional to A2, therefore maximum sound is heard at resonance.

loud sound is heard because
amplitude is directly propotional to loudness and in resonance amplitude is large..
