You’ll need 156 blocks
I used 3 containers of Jumbling Tower Block Games from Walmart = 144 blocks. I had extra blocks to equal the 156 total. You could cut the flag by 1 row to 143 blocks.
-For 156 block flag:
35 blocks for star area
64 blocks for red stripes (you’ll need 4 rows of 7 blocks and 3 rows of 12 blocks)
57 blocks for white stripes (you’ll need 3 rows of 7 blocks and 3 rows of 12 blocks)
-For 143 block flag:
35 blocks for star area
57 blocks for red stripes (you’ll need 4 rows of 6 blocks and 3 rows of 11 blocks)
51 blocks for white stripes (you’ll need 3 rows of 6 blocks and 3 rows of 11 blocks)
