'It's Not Working!' Piers Morgan SLAMS Woke 'Censoring' Of Children's Books

Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by TalkTV contributor and lawyer Paula Rhone-Adrien, broadcaster Alex Phillips and political journalist Ava Santina to discuss the ongoing ‘sanitising' of children’s books as the Beano comics undergo a 'woke' transformation to introduce a more diverse cast and change some 'offensive' language used to describe some of the characters.

Piers Morgan believes it's ridiculous to try and censor words like 'fat' when used jokingly in young children's books, comics and films and that it in fact does more harm than good for helping their anxiety and confidence. He also finds it even more worrying that modern media will often celebrate morbid obesity in the form of 'body positivity'.

I was bullied in high school. There's always going to be bullies. It's fine trying to teach them that calling people names is wrong but you're never gonna get rid of bullies. Far more effective to teach people how to deal with adversity than blanket censoring anything and everything that might be seen as negative. We don't grow without struggle. You don't get rainbows without a little rain

Words can and always will hurt. I am 77 I survived it and so have my kids, grand kids and great grand kids.
We need to promote better parenting and not abticate the responsibility by introducing all this censorship which does no good whatsoever.

I can only imagine the confusion and anxiety that the kids are going through. Their parents should stand strong at this moment. Cosseting kids against the truths of life is the biggest mistake. When they are adults, and faced with ugly realities of the world, how will they cope???

Children are taught to be mean, disrespectful bullies ‘in the home’. As charity starts in home, so does respect for each other. Good parenting displaying respect, not bad mouthing or exhibit verbal, physical or other abuse is addressing the problem of anxiety. Also not by allowing them exposure to wars and world events on all social media.
