~ The Story of Rome 🗡️🌋
In its final years, Rome was ruled by a succession of emperors who struggled to hold the faltering empire together under relentless pressure. Its vast lands were weakened and vulnerable to continuous assaults by the Goths and Huns, who sacked cities and drained Rome’s resources. A devastating plague swept through the population, killing thousands and further eroding the strength of its armies and economy. As if the gods themselves had turned against the once-great empire, a volcanic winter cast darkness over the land, stunting crops and causing widespread hunger. This deadly mix of political turmoil, unending invasions, and climate catastrophe slowly broke the empire down until it finally fell, leaving behind scattered ruins and echoes of a civilization that had once ruled the known world. Before its collapse, however, the Roman Empire split into two; and the eastern half became the mighty Byzantine Empire, where the legacy of Rome endured for nearly a thousand more years, and the last of the Romans lived out their days. 👑📜🏛️

Rome’s mix of history, culture, and beauty makes it one of the most captivating cities in the world, a place where every corner has a story, and each visit reveals something new.

Rome, both mother and child, a city that nurtured her people while being molded by their dreams and ambitions. Legends were born in her streets, whispered in her temples, and carved into the stones of her grand monuments. She was the birthplace of empires, of warriors, poets, and philosophers—her legacy was of a time when she ruled over all that could be seen and known.
Her people, the Romans, were proud of their heritage, and their devotion to Rome was their lifeblood. They fought for her, built for her, and died for her. The city was not just a place—it was an idea; a force of nature that had conquered all the lands it touched. But now, the city lay a shadow of what it had been.
The heart of Rome had been poisoned, but the poison was not just in her soil or her waters—it was in her ruler, in the very hands that had once sworn to protect her. The emperor, once a general, stood at the apex of power. He had risen through the ranks of the Roman legions, his name etched into the annals of history as a conqueror, a warrior who had fought for Rome’s glory. He had been a hero, a symbol of the empire’s strength, a leader who led his soldiers with courage and wisdom. Under his command, the Roman legions had crushed their enemies and expanded the borders of the empire. The very hands that had once held the sword in defense of her walls now gripped the dagger that stabbed into her very heart. He had become a tyrant, consumed by his thirst for power, blind to the suffering he inflicted upon the city that had once been his mother and his muse.
He had promised to protect Rome, to preserve her greatness for future generations, but now, as emperor, he ravaged her in ways no foreign invader ever could. He taxed her people into poverty, bled her resources dry, and drained her beauty. Her once-vibrant markets, filled with the scent of exotic spices and the hum of commerce, now stood empty. The grand amphitheaters, where gladiators once fought for glory, now lay silent, the seats covered in dust. The Senate, the council that once held the pulse of Roman politics, was reduced to a mockery of itself, its members puppets of the emperor’s will.
Rome’s very foundations trembled under the weight of his corruption. The aqueducts that had once delivered fresh water to every corner of the city now carried the stench of decay. The fertile land that had fed her citizens was now poisoned, tainted by greed and negligence. Her rivers, which had once sparkled with the purity of life, now ran thick with the murk of neglect. The crops withered, the animals died, and the very soil seemed to cry out in pain.
But Rome was a mother, and a mother never truly dies. Not as long as her children remember her, not as long as her legends echo through the generations. It was in these legends, in the stories of gods and heroes, that her strength would endure. The emperor could poison her soil, he could burn her books, and he could tear down her statues, but he could never erase her spirit. Rome was still alive, waiting for her rebirth, waiting for the day when her children would rise up and reclaim her from the hands of the tyrant who had forgotten what it meant to serve her.

This piece made me: sank into deeper thoughts. Curious. Falling in love. Gaining strength. Hoping for the absolute best. But the vocals did something undescribable to me. Such a pure female voice, with unexpected tonechanging in between. Again, you dropped an extraordinary piece of music. How do you do this? I don't know 😄 As a full list tracks, every piece a little bit shortened, it would be sold out as fast as freshly baked bagels.

This piece was exactly what i needed today, without knowing that it could do this with me. Thank you ❤

The Roman Legionnaires' motto was:

"Aut Mori Aut Victoria"

or

"Conquer or Die"

However, another popular phrase associated with Roman Legionnaires is:

"Si vis pacem, para bellum"

meaning:

"If you want peace, prepare for war"

These phrases reflect the Legionnaires' unwavering dedication and unrelenting spirit.
