A shower is the first thing I want when I come home or at the end of the day if I'm home all day, a hot shower is so good. It's a comfort for me to feel clean and put on something cozy.. But I will say for some victims of abuse being comfortable showering is a long road and takes time to heal, I had a roommate who would just stand for a while in the shower or bathroom until she was actually ready to shower, I didn't get until she explained why it made her anxious, there was another girl who tole me she used baby wipes instead, I've learned that for some it's really apart of the healing from past trauma, so give grace you never know where someone is in thier journey.
