Old league you had supps that would average 4 cs/min offrole in challenger, midlaners that would die in a full clear jungle etc etc, nowadays the pool champ and styles are very wide so every pro player plays at top level 80% of champs because they're pretty much forced. The real difference is the macro of your position where a bot lane player may have wrong top lane tempos or have bad decisions on common situations for the mains of that role.
