Omg I LOOOOVE this tent!!
This is totally perfect!!
All the features I could possibly ever want!!
Huge vestibule!! That little roof above the door to shelter from rain and so you can slip in and out of the tent with such ease and no rain on your back!!
That amazing double door mess/fabric is amazing!! And so versatile!
And the many pockets!! I love it!
Shame you didn't show the inside still!! And the measurements! That's important too!
Would have been good to see!

Being Swedish (of choice) I need admit: yes, also the Swiss can design tents! :-) Ordered me one today, but went for the UL version. Keen to test it during my first tour in spring. Or maybe also on snow?

First off great review... I just had a question as to your tent placement. Maybe it was the camera angle but seemed like it was out in the open with no wind coverage ?

your gear kit link isn't working. What kind of sleeping setup do you fit in the Orion tent?

Sean; Bought my Orion a year ago and love it. I do though have one problem with it; dealing with setup. Exped has a video on setup in which the poles go in sequence. Then, he says to lift the entire tent up by the 3rd (middle) pole then secure it to the grommet in the foot. All great except: the tent is so heavy that the pole can’t support the tent to do that. It simply collapses on itself. I need someone to hold the 3rd pole up while I secure the pole in the grommet. SO; can you suggest a way to overcome this issue?

How do you prevent the tent poles from coming apart when putting them in the sleeves, and taking the poles out? Dont they get stuck in the channels?

Exped is not Swedish but Swiss… so not Scandinavian 😊
