Woman Escapes From Her Accused Kidnapper at Gas Station

A terrified woman was able to escape from her accused kidnapper. The heart-stopping escape happened at a New Jersey gas station after what authorities are calling "a year-long nightmare." The woman told police she met James Parrillo last February in New Mexico and began a relationship with him. After a month, she wanted to leave but he allegedly held her against her will. Gas station owner Bobby Madaan says the woman visited the store days earlier and planned her escape.

I met this guy while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. He was resting beneath an overpass on the trail. There was a woman with him who didn't say much. He came off very friendly, I remember, a bit too friendly. It came out later while on the trail that the woman he was with was being held against her will.

I was watching this and it reminded me of that time, so I looked up if there was a follow-up to the PCT kidnapping. Low and behold. It's the same person.
