I literally cannot tell if a woman is part of the LGBTQ community or not anymore. There's this girl that I've met twice in person through a mutual at events, and she's always walked up to me. The conversation has always been awkward and short because we're both very anxious beings and I literally said out loud yesterday at my brothers fiancés bridal shower to this girl "it's been a long time since I've seen you" and I instantly regretted saying that because it came off as creepy. Instead, I meant to say "It's been a while since we've seen each other" I panic when I'm trying to flirt with a girl irl I always come off the wrong way and insanely awkward. And I cannot for the life of me tell if she's starting convo bc she's trying to develop her social skills, if she's being friendly or she's secretly into me and I can't just straight up ask so are you into women or are you apart or the lgbt community.

Good advice! I do agree it is about the words you say and how you plan to say them. Gotta plan them in advance and be brave enough to say them how you want to. Just last night I complimented a girl on her skirt and it seemed to have gotten her flustered and giggling and smiling. I didn't get her number but it was a start at least.
