12 years and it's at 37.00. U max out but you get colas still. Depending on the office, If u choose to do over time you can make 100k. If u want only 8 hours. You will make about 76k

What's going on with his eyes? Did the post office possess him?

USPS is great. My little sister made over 100, 000$ her first year only because her office she works for in South Florida offers 7 days 12-16 hour shifts. She worked hard and it changed her life out of poverty.

Perfectly timed cutoff so we don’t get the info we stayed for😂

Keep in mind people too. The USPS overtime rules can make you bank. Anything after 8 hours worked is OT. Anything after 9 hours is DT. If that man works past 9 hours. He is making 68 hour.

USPS has treated my mother extremely well in Central California. I know around here they’re with the union, they get living wage increases, great hours and room for advancement if you work hard.

She used to be a general manager at Walmart on salary and they treated her like complete trash. She Got wrongfully terminated and found her way as a delivery driver during covid. Almost 2 years later she’s an assistant manager making over six figures; way more than what she was making at Walmart.

I highly recommend USPS but you need to work in a city that has multiple post offices so you’re able to hop around if needed.

Hourly wage isn’t as important as total annual salary. Many jobs offer lots of overtime and pension packages. The USPS is a good example that offers both overtime, pensions, and health insurance, which is why the hourly wage isn’t very high.
Please ask these people what their annual income is, the quality of their health insurance, and if there is a generous pension plan.

I worked as a letter carrier for 1 year. I was on a 14 mile ALL WALKING route, with 150-200 packages daily 5 days a week. Then after my route id have to help “Regulars” who have their own route and loves to just milk hours for an additional 5+ miles of walking. Then on sundays I had to deliver packages for another 8 hours or more if needed.I was treated like crap because my post master was a complete bitch. I quit and literally thought that I made the biggest mistake of my life because it was the best job I’ve had at the time. I regretted it so much I re-applied to another station and got denied. I then went to school for card dealing and got a job at a casino as a table game’s dealer. Dude I work 3 days one week and 4 the next. I make 9.50$ an hour but I get to keep all my tips. From 2am-10am and I’m not lying when I say my smallest paycheck at my casino is larger than my biggest at USPS which was $2400 after working 11 hours 6 days a week for two weeks. My advice is to not work for the usps. Don’t mess up your body when there’s COMPLETELY WAY BETTER PAYING AND EASIER JOBS OUT THERE! This is for the young people out there.

Start as a city carrier assistant, that’s the only way you get the top pay he’s speaking about under the nalc contract (union) they get time And half any hour after 8 and after 10 hours you get double pay. You will get tons of overtime even when you don’t want it, you start off being treated like sh#t, no set schedule, at the mercy of management but the union will assist with any discipline after your initial 90 day probation. Once you’re a regular (like this guy) you can tell them to fu#k off!

As a former Rural Carrier, being a mail carrier is only worth it if you're living in a very impoverished area of the US. I lived in CA and I could barely make ends meet.

Top pay never ends because the Union fights for more money every 3 to 4 years but the scale of reaching your step increases is between 12 to 15 years plus the COLA raises and the percentage increases. And if you sign up for overtime you can make over $100, 000. I just retired in Texas and the annual salary was at $71, 000. Plus 0 to 3 yrs you get 3 weeks vacay 3 to 15 you get 4 weeks and after 15 you get 5 weeks and 1 day. Plus 11 holidays

Once you get converted to a career position, it takes 12 years to reach the pay cap.

Takes way to long to top out at most of these companies now. It’s 2023, not 1953. It shouldn’t take more than 5 years to top out imo.

I work for the post office as a mailman. do not apply. They treat you like shit and they can care less if your sick, family dies, or need help mentally. This job is good for people to start off and get on there feet but this is NOT A CARRIER.... to answer top pay it will take over 15yrs of your dedication even with OT. . . CURRENTLY Looking for a new job and I been there 6 years. Only at $25$

During Covid, a clerk in Atlanta division made over $140k. He had night pay, overtime pay, double time pay; so much worked time that they had to figure out a way to input all his time into the clock rings. Remember back then the Governor closed down the state. We were required to continue working as essential workers during that time. The postal service was mandating that we worked overtime
