I love the disconnect between Samsung marketing and engineering teams.

As a Samsung Knight, they peaked in the late 2010s.

Ever since they've focused too much on copying apple to be more mainstream

There are many examples of this

1. IR blaster discontinued (TV Remote)
2. Iris scanner
3. Back fingerprint scanner to bring down notifications
4. Samsung Health (heart rate, blood oxygen scanner)
5. Headphone jack
6. SD card support
7. Samsung Pay turned into Apple pay (the previous version worked exactly like a card does, now it's NFT like Apple Pay)
8. S22 design (copying apple, removing curved screen)
9. Galaxy Note
10. Their buds copying airpods

You either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain.

Like it or not, Apple is really good at defining a first-gen product. No matter how weird it may look at first, everybody usually ends up copying them.

A lot of Apple’s design is for brand recognition. At a glance you know Apple devices. From stems on AirPods to the notch, without seeing a logo you know it’s Apple. Excellent strategy.

I really don't understand why Samsung removed the rotating bezel. Literally everyone was saying the rotating bezel is better than the Apple Watch's digital crown. I've tried the rotating bezel before, and it was really good. It's so satisfying. Samsung needs to start using their brain, or else consumers will suffer from lack of choice.

I hate when companies do this. I have and use Samsung Galaxy buds 2, I think they are lovely, since they don;'t have a stick they sit flush in my ears and hence are amazing to sleep with or watch stuff while lying in bed, I use them very often for white noise while sleeping. Now the battery on my galaxy buds 2 is dying and I want to buy new ones but Samsung apparently doesn't sell those anymore and the buds 3 have the steam which means they'll not sit flush with my ears, hence I don't think I can use them for sleeping cus I had AirPods before these and the steam on those would poke my ear lobes or the jaw right below the ear and be uncomfortable

I left Samsung because they stopped being Samsung. This is just a continuation of Samsung not being Samsung.

People need to realise that Samsung and Apple manufacture this competition. They make money off these phone wars lmao, they literally work with each other for parts and hardware alot of the time too. Matter of fact, they've been partners for a little over a decade at this point (Samsung gives Apple their displays to use on products such as MacBooks and IPhones, while Apple helps Samsung develop hardware and components to create better chipsets). They've both made billions of dollars in profit from these phone wars and this new drop by Samsung will only do the same.

The buds pro are slick. I don't consider that to be a strike against Samsung. They are just recognizing stem superiority.

The watch is a wholly different matter. Make a big square and stick a circular screen on it? COME ON NOW. JUST MAKE IT A SQUARE SCREEN DAWG.

I do have to hand it to Sammy tho, their watch does 60hrs in rwgular use while the Apple Watch Ultra only does 36. You essentially get double the battery.

I don't love the new buds' design, but I don't hate it either. I DO hate the Watch Ultra design though, not getting those.

Just spend $994 on upgrading from

- Fold 4 to 6 with case and S Pen (nothing wrong with mine but the 4 was a bad year for durability and I'm paranoid)
- buds 2 regular to 3 pro (mine are wearing out, I was rough on them)
- Watch 4 classic to 7 regular
