Timothy O’Brien is a senior executive editor at Bloomberg Opinion. He was previously a reporter and editor at The New York Times and is the author of TrumpNation: The Art of Being the Donald. Donald Trump filed a $5 billion defamation lawsuit after the publication of O’Brien’s book. The suit was later dismissed.

I have sincere kind hearted family members who think Donald is a man of God who knows the Lord and who is in sync with the common man. I have an uncle who in 2015 read "the art of the deal" and my uncle told me "it makes me like him even less" that same uncle now talks about the godly and divine nature of Donald. They believe it's a club and they're members but anyone like me who questions it is just delusional. It's beyond belief.
