What it Feels Like To Go Supersonic | Thunderbird Fighter Pilot Reacts

When you go supersonic it is one of the coolest experiences ever. Breaking the sound barrier takes aviation to a new level. When you break the speed of sound you make a sonic boom and it makes a loud explosion of sound waves that can be heard below the aircraft.

Sonic booms can be heard for miles away. Mach 1 is when you are flying at the speed of sound. From my video, What it Feels Like To Go Supersonic | Thunderbird Fighter Pilot Reacts, you now what it feels like to go supersonic!

Love to have seen all of you in formation going supersonic across the water

8 F-16’s in formation, breaking the sound barrier? WOW!!!
I can’t imagine the sonic boom that created. That would be the ultimate “show of force “

Hi! As a student pilot (flying a Piper Warrior-not nearly as cool as the fighters you fly, LOL but...), watching your videos is so exciting! I flew once in a Navion and we did a barrel roll! Totally awesome! I felt like you did when you joined the MACH club. Your fast forward reaction was classic! I laughed so hard, I cried because that is exactly how I felt when was inverted! And basically every time I'm in the air! I love it! Thanks for the great videos!

Two years ago I flew a MIG29 in Russia. Expensive, but I definitely would do it again. Pulled 6 G’s, went supersonic, I did a roll, etc. It was awesome!!!. Going supersonic, as you mentioned makes you a member of an elite group, and I felt honored of accomplishing it.

Excellent show! Man what I wouldn’t give to be in the Mach Club! Salute to the late great Brigadier General Charles (Chuck) Elwood Yeager!

Do you know the pilot that had to eject at supersonic? Navy pilot. Really messed him up. Would love to see you do a visual podcast with guests like that. He really has a story.

That’s pretty awesome… I love these experience stories …

My uncle was a RIO in an F14A in the 90s and he would talk about the exhilaration of being in that plane … those F14s were like hot rods of the Jet world… going past the sound barrier is awesome and I’m glad you’re not underplaying it.

You should do an episode of Chuck Yeagers story

Thanks for relating these experiences to all of us schlubs who will never have the opportunity to experience them ourselves. Very cool. Don't let it go to your head. 🤣

Those stories were truly awesome, as far as going supersonic is concerned somehow it always reminds me of X - 15 those aircrafts really paved the way for future fighter pilots to go supersonic & experience the thrill for themselves, although back in X - 15 days going supersonic meant nearly a suicide but that risk taken by those test pilots has made the progress in aviation today.

If you would be that test pilot would you love to fly the X -15 at the edge of the atmosphere ?
Love your channel ❤

Maybe you could tell us regular guys how we could get a ride with the Thunderbirds?

I remember seeing a documentry about how they figured out that they needed a "coke bottle" shape, to deal withh the shock waves. You reminded me of air shows at Point Mugu where they flew at us going surepsonic. Exactly what you said.

Mach 1 = 761 mph at sea level given a Standard Atmosphere. From 36k to 66k feet, Mach 1 = 660 mph. Why? Because in the stratosphere has a constant ambient temp. But tell us what your highest TAT was while flying supersonic? Let's see if you caused permanent damage to the radar nose cone...
