Gotta love the YouTube car community:

Engine builders makes a V12 that no domestic manufacturer has ever made (or made in a super long time) and instead of being grateful, a lot of hater comments and complaining when it's not up to their standards. LOL, typical.

Props to V12LS for doing this project!!

I'm really glad to see this engine in a real vehicle doing what it's supposed to do, rather than spending life as a museum piece!😉👍 What a beast!!

"Is that a Bugatti motor" no smart person has ever asked that

Back in like 2004 chevy almost put a V10 into production but it never happened. They were gonna put a iron block v10 in the trucks as a option and a aluminum block v10 in the corvette as an option but some i believe in Kansas found a iron block one and had put it in a 1964 impala. If only GM actually manufactured V10's and V12's

Idea for premium version: 427 LS7 based with crank stroke, high lift cam, LS7 based heads, and dry sump oiling. If they use 427 LS7 as the base then the cubes will shoot past 640. Hell, if they wanted to take it to the extreme levels use a 454 LSX as the base. That would make it break 680 cubes. With good flow heads and a high lift cam the engine could break 1100 HP all motor. Add some low boost and break 1500 HP. Go decent boost (say around 16 to 18 PSI) since that can be made to run on 91 pump gas if the airflow is free enough and they could have the potential for a 2000+ HP pump gas street engine. Ideas V12 LS1 company. :D

If you can fit that V12 in a Miata/MX-5 your doing pretty well for yourself.

Just for the record; when he says it's "only" 8" longer than a normal LS, what he meas is "It's almost 30% longer". And, while it's a cool idea, and amazing that they pulled it off, doesn't it kind of break one of the things that make LS engines awesome? The simplicity and ubiquity of aftermarket support is huge. Losing that (and the low cost, compact size, and I imagine it's weight has suffered about the same as the length) seems like a bit of a big deal.
Still, wishing these guys tons of success. I'd love to see these really take off.

Wow, I didn't know they were planning to cast these V12 Blocks. Yet I have a feeling it's still gonna be more than splicing 2 LS3s together. I am gonna have one of these, one way or another!

I remember back in the mid 80s reading an article in HOT ROD magazine about a company that was making a small block Chevy V12 which was designed as a 350 with 4 extra cylinders. Back then they sold them for about $8000. They must have gone under. I never heard anything more about them. I have always wanted one after that.

My Mom's boyfriend did all the wiring and electronics in this car. Very impressive.

Finally they put headers on the thing.

I really want them to get this one going. I I have so many dream projects that this would fit in, but I'd need to know the block was going to be in production for a while to make it worth doing.
