There is a true obsession with corgi butts and their short legs. However, equally as charming are their crazy personalities and quirks. Some would say that they're natural comedians. In this video, I'll be sharing 10 crazy things that Gandalf does that makes him unique or perhaps is a quintessential characteristic of all corgis. Do any of your corgis do any of these crazy things?

My Corgi, Bunny, lived in a kennel for 6 years before I got her. I've had her for 6 months and she is beginning to display her personality. She just started to sploot. She is the gentlest dog, easygoing and eager to please. She isn't interested in balls or toys, but I am hoping to change that. She had 2 litters of pups and is spayed. She had never been inside of a house before with her own human family. She is a sweetheart!

My Jake and Willow are the smartest most loving and mischievous dogs I’ve ever had. They make me smile every day.

Not only does our Beatrice look almost exactly like Gandalf, she has ALL 10 of these unique traits!!!! She does the tippity-tappity and likes chasing balls a little bit but she mostly loves affection. As retirees, my husband and I are at her COMPLETE disposal! She doesn't like many other dogs (actually only one - her bf Finn who lives across the street). But Bea absolutely LOVES people, children, old people, young people, ANY people. She just turned 1 and we're considering entering her in Service Dog training. Her ideal situation would be visiting nursing homes and getting tons of love. Thanks so much for your great videos!

This is a spot on description of our first corgi. Our current corgi is all about food, car rides, and treat puzzles. 💗

Great video! Corgis are wonderful dogs with incredible quirks! I am currently enjoying my second boy, named Oliver. Each Corgi is definitely described as having the confidence and sound of a large dog only with short legs.

My current husband is a retired Army MP dog handler and he says our Oliver is just as smart and workable as any of their dogs, just short and not as aggressive. They have the most fun!

My corgi, who passed away at age 15, had crazy eyes and razor sharp focus for her favorite treat - Beggin strips (bacon) and eggs, even raw. I once dropped an egg on the floor in the kitchen and before I could grab a paper towel to clean it up, it was gone! She loved to run like the wind and was giddy rolling in the grass. She smiled all the time and was born to sniff -she
could spend a lot of time with her nose on the ground. Corgi is my favorite breed - they are the best!

6:24 - Gandalf sure lives up to his namesake. Gandalf from LOTR also sleeps with his eyes open.

My current Corgi has a lot in common with Gandalf! The ultimate solution to everything is FOOD first, followed very closely by toys, balls and games. I show her in AKC Rally and she's working on her 5th Master title, along with additional titles such as CGCA, Tricks, Obedience, Farm Dog Certified, etc. To her, working with and for me is "Playing" with and for me -- also known as fun with mom! When I got her at 8 wks old she could stare piercing holes through anyone and everyone and had energy to burn...but at the same time actually greets every new man, woman or child with boundless enthusiasm. She's only cuddly when and for how long she wants (her decision) and then she's off again after a ball, etc. She brings anything she finds on the ground to me to trade for a small treat, which has saved her from harm more than once -- a dropped pair of scissors, a piece of broken glass at a park, a squeaker out of a toy, and so on. She's crazy smart! My previous Corgi (a fluffy) who passed a couple years ago, was also smart and did well in Rally competitions but was also very affectionate and cuddly, especially as she got older. I still miss her to this day. :( Her main quirk was "sleep eating"! She 'd be on my lap, sound asleep, and suddenly her jaws would start chewing, followed by a noticeable gulp. Yes, seriously :0) Sorry for writing a small book -- but Corgis, IMHO, are the best! They do require loving guidance and training though, or they will own you, your kids, your house, and possibly your car. Remember -- they were originally bred several hundred years ago to herd animals much larger than themselves and most of them have the "I'm in charge here" attitude that made them very good at their jobs. Channel and reward that energy and attitude and you will have an amazing pal!!!

My Aussie shepherd looks and acts exactly like your Gandolf! The only dogs she likes are corgies! I think she thinks they are all long lost litter mates. No splooting though...❤

I lost my pitbull that I bottle raised at a week old and almost a year later my parents surprised me with an American blue Merle corgi…. He’s AMAZING in every way!! I thought my pit was smart but my corgi contemplates everything before doing it!! You can literally see his brain working lol

We've termed it Chronic PDD or chronic "play deficit disorder." We've lived with corgi(s) since 1995. I think that qualifies us as dedicated corgi addicts. I have stationary that reads, "We got a corgi because S wanted a dog who could form an opinion" at the top of the page. At the bottom of the page, I added, "Living proof we should be careful what we wish for."

Been there, doing all that with corgis x 2!
