This is the promotional video for the Central Michigan Climate Solutions Summit, which will take place from 8:50 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16.
The Climate Solutions Summit will highlight what is being done at the university and in the local community to combat climate change and its effects.
The summit will feature Dr. Andrew Hoffman as the keynote speaker, who will discuss the role of universities in mitigating climate change and the solutions present in our culture and market. Hoffman is an author, research and professor at the University of Michigan, with a focus in environmental issues and sustainable enterprise.
The event will also include two panel discussions, featuring: CMU faculty, staff and students; and Mount Pleasant businesses, government officials and local citizens.

This event was organized by interested faculty and students in collaboration with the Mt. Pleasant chapter of Citizens’ Climate Education, sponsored by the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, the College of Science and Engineering, and the Institute for Great Lakes Research.
