RPG Dice from Walmart? | Campaign Dice Review | Budget Buys Ep.49

Today I'm taking a look at the Campaign Dice that can be found at Walmart. These RPG dice sets are from Cardinal and Spin Master, and they seem to be exclusive to Walmart as far as I can tell. They're great for when you absolutely need dice for a gaming session but nowhere else is open.

Also, later on in the video you can see why dice collectors hate me.

Last year I found a whole rack of rpg dice (all one color, brown) at Dollar Tree. Picked up two sets, should have picked up more, as I haven't seen them since. I keep checking the store hoping they'll come back.

I bought 2 sets so I could have at least 2 d6's, dark purple (favorite set), dark green and a nice blue set in both boxes under Cardinal, the first set I got lucky, not one face was indented, perfectly painted, not as crisp as most Chessex sets and not as bad as some sets you get online when you cant pick them out in person. overall very nice looking with the marbling patterns. The next set some of the numbers painting was dull but I fixed them with some gold paint I found at Dollar Gen. that just happened to be a near perfect match. all around they were really nice and I was impressed, not so happy with the other brand that was also there under a different name but with a similar box, those were more mis shapen with pits and indented faces, they are some of my nicest dice, you just have to try as best you can and inspect them thru the plastic before you buy them. what I look for is indented faces and if they are tumbled too much if they pass that, then they will be really nice, and they are out there you just have to look. Mine are keepers.

Not this exact same set but I just picked up some myself for ten bucks, though mine are under just Spin Master, plus the box graphics are blue instead of red and mine only came with one dice pouch. There was also a dice tower there that comes with a set.

Dollar tree now carries rpg dice! They're not terrible looking except for the brown color

Haha, I was going to say those Army Men dice looked like the ones from the old Red Box sets...I still have a few individual ones around someplace. Just add a crayon to "ink" them! :D 100% would buy a five-n-dime/buck-store set just for the nostalgia factor.
