I was honestly hoping they'd do a bit more with 40k and orks would get a whole deck at some point.

I hope Lotr can bring us some quality orcs, the tribe has been shafted pretty thoroughly compared to a lot of other classic subtypes.

Orks and goblins do frequently work together in Warhammer 40k and in Blood Bowl.

The rat thing was a Skaven, essentially rat men, and the Goblins are Goblins in Age of Sigmar. They are called Gretchin in 40k

I was hoping for more, and for less alt art prints. Was thinking maybe Orcs were a close 5th or something during development, and this would be a bigger than usual secret lair so we could scrape together our own orc deck, but I guess not.

For 40k fans these might be worth picking up. For others just looking for value I’m not seeing much value here.

Given how well 40K is being received, I’m sure GW and WOTC could collaborate on doing a group of decks built around Age of Sigmar.

I was going to pick up the Ork secret lair even before I knew aggravated assault was going to be in there, now I'm just really hyped! My only sadness is that Ghaz isn't his own card like the other legendary creatures from the commander decks. I was never huge on blood bowl, so the cards they picked for it being mediocre just cements that I won't get that. AoS looks cool, sad Ghal Maraz isnt on a legendary equipment, it just feels wrong somehow lol.

They definitely - unfortunately - didn't go as all-out on this product as they did with the 40k decks, but at least the alternate art is really nice, and the deckbox itself seems quality. Just a shame we aren't getting three new decks like some articles were claiming.

I won't lie, it hurts to see my favorite 40k faction just get a couple of alternate art cards. But I love Orks and will buy anything to do with them.
