Xbox Series X/S Controller How to fix Drifting Sticking Thumb Stick

Xbox controller's left thumb stick was drifting and getting stuck. In this video I'll show how you can try to easily fix it using two methods.

Time Stamps:
00:13 - Fix #1 - Blow out and clean the thumbstick
00:58 - Check to see if still under warrenty
01:04 - Remove back panels / handles
02:27 - Removing the torx security screws
04:42 - Remove face plate
05:11 - Clean with brush, cotton swab and alcohol
06:35 - Final dusting and inspection
06:48 - Reassemble

These controllers are constantly getting sticky thumb sticks. I never get any of these issues from cheap controllers. You would think it would be the other way around considering how much these controllers cost. I would never buy another one. I have had three and they have all had sticky thumb sticks in no time. They are a pain in the arse to send back too. Thanks for the video.

This video helped me improve my stick drift issue.
I fixed my stick drift for moving backwards, but there’s slight stick drift forwards since I bent back the plastic pieces too much and couldn’t get it fully connected again, atleast I think that’s why I couldn’t fix the forwards stick drift

My left thumbstick moves the character or whatever else I am trying to move with the thumbstick slowly. When I take the face plate off it moves like it is suppose to. I wonder how I fix that problem

So what if you replace the joystick and get double inputs. If i flip the joystick up. It moves two places on the menu. And ive completely resoldered a brand new joystick and still double input. Anyone know what on the board would cause this?
