The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has announced its intention to arrest individuals involved in packaging and circulating illegally mined polluted water, labeled as ‘galamsey water,’ in local markets. The FDA, in collaboration with security agencies, is launching this operation, according to a press statement issued on October 21, 2024.

They can somehow call for the arrest of those who have packaged the Galamsey water to raise public awareness. However, they cannot arrest those who have poisoned the water by participating in destructive mining, whether legal or illegal.🤷🏾‍♀
