Delaine Eastin: It's Time to Build a Better California

Delaine's father was a union machinist. Her mother was a dress clerk. They weren’t rich, but they didn’t have to be for her parents to own their own home, buy a car and send her to college. California needs a visionary governor with a brass backbone, who isn’t afraid of bullies and will not kowtow to the rich and powerful. Delaine is not afraid to take on the greed that has hurt the middle class, be it through falling wages or rising costs. That is who she is, what she has always done, and what she will do as Governor.

Delaine Eastin is the best choice for California! She is the only one committed to moving SB562 forward, ban fracking, and make tuition-free public college a reality. She will work to overturn the skewed priorities where we are number one in per-prisoner funding, but number forty-one in per-pupil funding. Early education is vital; that's why Delaine wants full-day kindergarten and public pre-school. She has been a leader in the labor movement and works to strengthen our unions. Additionally, Delaine has experience at multiple levels of government - city council, state assembly, and as State Superintendent of Public Instruction. She stands alone as the best all-around Gubernatorial candidate in 2018.

Beyond politics, objective records, and biographies; I found the news that Delane Easton has unfortunately passed on. Her legacy will indeed be what she stood for, what is described in this video, and what her biography and record will be for all time to come.
I am humbled to have voted for her in the 2018 midterm primary, and to have spoken to her in a zoom meeting.
May she rest in peace with the archive footage being the last remanent of her Legacy.
