Really impressed with the way Nick fought all tournament long. Even when he lost his head he was turning his anger into game energy. This Nick is truly a delight to watch. If it werent for Rafa standing on the other side Nick probably would be in the Quarters now. Just shows what a great champ Rafa is that he can beat a man playing at this level. Great match and please keep it up Mr Kyrgios.

After Nick held first game of the second set, I had a small voice in the back of my head say "hey this seems awfully similar to Wimbledon"
As every single game passed I couldn't believe how similar the match was playing out
Nick even had a monstrous winning slap forehand that he hit near Rafa at the net just like at Wimbledon
When Nadal broke in the 4th I thought it'd be a routine 6-2 or 6-4 set
Nope Kyrgios broke back at 5-4 and delivered the same score line

Except this match was 10x better than their Wimbledon one :)

Great match! Anyone who watched the full match will realize, that Nadal had all the answers to Krygios's brilliance. He made a lot of errors from dominating positions and that coupled with some "Krygios magic" & the voracious home support, allowed Nick to stretch the match. This match was more about Rafa's dominance and mental strength, than Krygios's play. Let's not shift focus.

Sometimes it's impossible to break Nick's serve. That's why Rafa lost 2nd set although he played better. Nick's talent is way beyond his ranking. He can be a much better player.
